In 1987, Wildwood Farms was founded on the concept of "feeding the squirrels on the opposite end of the property from the birds", thus creating a harmonious co-existence of backyard wildlife.  In promoting this concept, we found that humans are also hungry for balance and harmony.  Thus, the human part of nature as well as the wildlife part of nature accepted this concept.  Now harmony exists in many backyards in the United States between wildlife and humans.  This harmonious co-existence has given humans the "Great Reward" of many hours of entertainment.

Soon we learned this co-existence was educational as well, teaching children and adults alike these same principles of co-existing in peace and harmony. By caring for and watching wildlife, children learn from a very young age, a healthy respect for life. With the increase of violence in our human existence, our thoughts and concepts began to evolve and formulate a program to promote this learning process.  With the "Let Us Teach Our Children to Respect Life" learning program our mission is to encourage Parents and Grandparents to place our "Wildlife Learning Products" where children can feed and observe the wildlife, thus learning to preserve and respect life at an early age.  Hopefully by planting these seeds of life in our children, a healthy respect for life will grow in the place of violence.

Our long-range goal is to replace violence with a "Respect for Life" in our children today.
